I remember wearing only a pair of summer sandals to school all year round..and trying to take a short cut across the river...which i fell into many times....in DECEMBER!! You whine about snow, i could give you horror stories!!

Stop your bloody complaining!! At least these days you get paid for not turning up for work.!!

Snow is GOOD!! It brings out snowdrops!! The prettiest flower in Europe

I am going to moan, because I don't like the cold weather, and here, right now it's bloody freezing. The central heating boiler has broken down, but the log burner is full and lovely and warm... at least in one room.

I was never put on the earth to be cold.......

How much snow and ice is there in TRNC?

Driving in the snow and ice in the East Riding in the last week, I have felt safer, than I ever felt, when I used to drive in the TRNC.

It's not the snow that I mind and not even the cold but the ice is treacherous to walk on. Especially when you have had hip replacements and an arthritic knee. I have been confined to the house for a week now. Can't wait to move to the TRNC in January to escape it all.

We all get crappy days and having looked out the window this morning after -19 degrees last night, 2.5 foot of snow now in the garden, freezing fog, car buried in snow and not recognisable, ice compacted roads and still snowing and being a prisoner in my own home for the last 8 days, running out of Milk, Bread and other fresh essentials...... HONEST.....I'm still smiling!!!!
