HP pavilion dv5 has died...i.e. not charging up at all and has been playing up for a while.

Other than trying to order a new one on line, does anyone know if it can be repaired or a recondition one can be had??

Sensible suggestions please.

There is an electronics shop in the south, called Stephanides I seem to recall.

Coming out of Jumbo car park, turn left and go to the end of the road, left the first right, brings you onto the main drag toward Strovolos.

At one of the sets of light, turn right, can't remember which number it would be but is literally next to a big music shop.

Go to the top of the hill, there is a bank on the left, and the car park and shop is opposite.

In here you can buy just re-chargeable battery cells to replace in things like laptops etc if you fancy opening up the casing, and doing s little soldering yourself, much cheaper option.

Repair the battery? that would cost you as much as you get a new one.

You may go around laptop battery store online like battery4us.com. I got a dv9000 battery there and working nice now.

Hi....batteries will last much much longer if you do not have the battery attached when not in use or not attached when using the mains.
