Hi All,

We used to have an occasional take away pizza from the old Pizza Hut and were never disappointed.

A small one each cost in the region of 20 tl and was enough to fill the both of us.

We went tonight and the prices have jumped from 9 or 10tl each, to 13 or 14 tl.

When I mentioned the price increases, I was told it was because of the change of management, and because they dont do small ones any more, they start from medium.

I thought I would try them anyway.

Bad move.

The crust was super thin, the topping minimal and we both were hungry afterwards.

To add insult to injury, I was short changed by 10tl, and it took 2 members of staff to work it out and give me back my 10tl. Needless to say, they have lost our custom!!!

we tried it Monday, didnt like price of pizza, so ordered burgers, that was a mistake, they were the very thin rubbery ones, i wrongly assumed they would be same as old pizza king..... the coffee machine didnt work, the lager pumps were not working and they had to go out and buy bottle lager for us. having said that, the young girl serving us was very pleasant, we ate all the food, (apart from the type of burgers they served up) the chips and salad was nice and the relish inside the bun was very tasty, but my husband was still starving so we had to go to fast food for a kebab!

i agree with msge 1, it was overpriced for what we had, we regulary used pizza king and enjoyed the food. this is only our opinion on that day.

Its such a shame that new management think that they can make more money by increasing the prices and reducing the quality.

They are operating on the reputation of the previous owners and think they can get away with whatever they please!!

There is so much competition that they are bound to lose out in the end

Thing is, with so few tourists this year, you would imagine that they would treat fairly regular customers a bit better!

Never mind!

A lesson learned and a cheese sandwich solves the day

The pizzas received a mix review in our house. I really enjoyed mine, I dont like thick crust pizza, and on many occasions when we had ordered thin crust from Pizza King they delivered a very heavy thick crust which I just couldnt eat. The pizzas we ordered from Yummies were very thin, but tasty and fresh. We all had medium because they said they dont do small which I would normally have eaten. My husband was still quite hungry after he had eaten his and was snuffling around for something else to eat within an hour! Did think it was quite pricey though 51tl for 3 pizzas and one side order, which would normally have been just under 40tl at Pizza King.

We used to get stuff from Pizza King for the kids, since it changed we go elsewhere or go without, gone completely downhill, maybe a sign of TC management versus German management.

Try Buongiorno in Alsancak, just past the gym, good food and good prices.

Another vote for 'Buongiorno's'. Taking Pizza kings business now aswell as there old premises..LOL

Visited them twice on our last trip and was excellent both times...

We liked pizza king and are dissapointed to hear they have gone downhill. Will still give them a go next time we're over just to see for ourselves...
