The BBC's legal affairs analyst Clive Coleman said it was not clear which condition Mr Nadir had breached, but he is believed to be being held at Charing Cross Police Station in central London. A Metropolitan police spokesman said: "We can confirm that a 69-year-old man has been arrested at an address in London W1 for being in breach of his bail conditions. "He is currently in custody at a London police station."

What a joke... Police & Justice in the UK... Another one to be added to the list of "good work": - Chasing people that have handed themselves in voluntarily... Why don't they go down to Hackney, Lewisham or anywhere else in London and clean the streets of drug dealers and real criminals? Oh, of course, chasing a 69 year old who has handed himseld in is a lot easier isn't it.

He's now been released with an apology according to Sky news and intends to issue a writ against those who arrested him on Monday.

A complete cock-up by the private monitoring co. apparently. Why farm this kind of work out to private companies. The taxpayer picks up the tab for a writ issued by Mr. Nadir for unlawful arrest.

Another example of broken Britain I'm afraid... Billions wasted on contracts given to large outsourcing companies... At worst a failed project scrapped with millions wasted, at best poor service to the customer.
