Just been out shopping and paid some of my bills:

Months electric / water - 20 quid

Month's 4mb internet / cable TV - 20 quid

All prices clearly marked on the goods - shopping malls like football stadiums, selling everything you could possibly want, at cheap as chips prices (how about a Samsung Plasma for 375 quid ?)......

The biggest Careffore / Tesco's you ever did see selling the widest range of food / non food stuffs you could imagine, at low prices............

Bars / restaurnats everywhere, offering everything you could possibly imagine ;0).... (the meat balls at the local Korean restaurant are the dog's bo@@ocks...)

Or how about sensational crispy duck with ginger / rice for 80p ?

31 degrees - hot and sunny in the day - dropping to 28 overnight............

Lovely sandy beaches with coconut trees swaying in the breeze.............

no power cuts / water shortages....

Just cant wait to get back to the TRNC for some normality................

see ev

There's seldom reason to applaud two posts at once, but 13 & 14? Yes.

message to 'millzer' ......thailand ...pattya ? yes i was there last year .... and bangkok and river kwai..[burmese border] .. my mate from london owns a girlie bar there 5 miles outside of pattya ... 16 girls busy serving drinks etc ... its fun but it depends what you are looking for .... elephants ?? you get plenty of them in the trnc right ??? tigers ? i think they may have already crossed the borders into cambodia. vietnam ... myamar [burma] ... if you are looking for girls ... there is a process that foreigners ought to follow ..my old mate sat me down and explained everything before he let me back on my moped and gave me directions to centre of town ... 'walking street' ... [i would have named it something else ,with similar letters ] ... good luck mate .... cheers lindsay

yorgozlu seems to have a chip on his shoulder and a problem with expats, if his posts are anything to go by. We are not all the same as tc 's arent. Just because I have been ripped of by a few of your countrymen still wouldnt make me generalise and tar all tc's as being the same....far from it. I think you have a serious attitude problem. Or are deliberately trying to goad peolple unnecessarily...if it is the latter I am sad you have nothing better to do.

Daveboy,re msg 22;

No,yorgozlu does not have a chip on his shoulder nor he has any intention of taring all with same brush. He just keeps watching 'few' particular ones and would also like to meet them face to face.

In case you've not noticed have a look on my posts again to see how many of them are helpfull, then again you might find out that I am actualy retailating to the ones with that so calld 'chip on the shoulder'.

with regards.........................

so......what made you buy in TRNC?

perhaps, cheap VILLAS in the sun,or was it the high interest rates?or even BOTH!

lets face it,you could have done that in uk too!!or could you not?

I hear there are cheap properties in Bulgaria,and..............they are in eu.

I am fully aware that 'it takes all sorts' and...........I hope "how long will the UK be ruined by the mass immigration of foreigners"..........does not include ex-brittish colonies, like cyprus for example since we were (most of us) born with the right of brittish citizenship.

mess 24 - coming back for a "Monger Christmas" at the insistance of Garry Monger's missus,

plus i miss the builders rubble dumped everywhere, the litter strewn beaches, the lack of choice in the shops, the winging ex pats, the 2 months in the summer where its too hot to do anything, the 5 months in the winter freezing your t#ts off inside your villa, speed cameras everwhere you look, lack of infrastructure, spiriling prices, the lack of single sexy and available women, the so so evening entertainment, the same same restaurants, the uncertainity of the property market, the uncertainty if the TRNC can survive..................
