WHY OH WHY..It happens all the time on here people being so very RUDE..sabotaging threads, sick comments, insulting posts. Yes I also get very challenged on here a retaliate with the same, it get your back up. TIME and time again you members on 44 think its OK... Thread after thread gets hijacked all the time in this manner !



Mods please put a STOP to this,you can and should..One way is an instant 1 week ban with an email stating read you post dated :.. and you also have the power to remove insulting posts, Remove them, this must be a sure way of ensuring it would not continue, post that they will receive email..44 is becoming nothing but a who can insult who today ! This is not what 44 should be about..Please bring some order back, give them all a quick sharp shock. I for one would feel that the Forum has then gained respect, Please put a stop to all the insults Now. YOU HAVE THE POWER.. )

Mmods could stop some posts by naming perhaps once a week those that are banned, over last week a lot of comments have been posted 'where is zerochlor' it got a lot of posts and viewings, if he was banned and people new about it then the posts may not have been made.

Thats not a problem as to where they go, or if we see them or not. The point being that once one has a ban, one would think twice about doing the same again ) therefore not insulting future posting or sabotaging threads..Who wants to know who has a ban anyway ? just remove them for a while and longer if they continue..

would it not be better to delete the offending post and let the thread continue rather than closing then starting another (then ban them)

what about my suggestion Simbas - I note you moderated a lunch thread just now but when I asked to get my thread back on track a couple of days ago the request was totally ignored - I know its not easy but if you are revewing your moderation then fairness to all threads that are hjacked should come into play thank you for your consideration

We are trying to do our best and sometimes we get it wrong. We try to let threads evolve without deleting posts ( unless they are offensive) or closing threads down (sometimes too early).



Some members will go off topic and ask 'how a certain person is or have you seen so and so' - what's the consensus of that situation - should we delete the post as 'off topic' or let the thread run?

I have never ignored any e-mails i get sienna , i assure you i am not that rude , i have looked for your e-mail , i can't find it , perhaps you could re-send it . I realise it might be too late , but if i haven't received it then that is a bit worrying , as i do make myself available to all , as do all other mods . I should also point out there are only a few of us to deal with things at present

Hi just thought I would share with you all that I have just joined another Forum, in another Island and I am so surprised at the total difference with regards to politeness, helpfulness. What an eye opener for me..and to think that I even searched the net and found it ) So...come on folks lets all try hard and make this forum likewise, are their other member on 44 that are members of other Forums in other countries. It would be nice to hear your feedback on how you find them too...Hussssh not letting on where it is, )

Ahh Woodspeckie I just visited Yalikavak this past June, what a wonderful place and all around that area. It's sad really that this forum, which used to be very helpful and a friendly place, now has far too many people who do nothing but insult and highjack, the forum is becoming a laughing stock due to all the slanging matches that go on. There are certain members who continually insult people and ridicule people, we all know who they are, these are the people who need banning for a period of time, not the ones who lose it now and then. I hope the mods can pull the board back into shape before it is completely taken over by the troublemakers and "untouchables".

Hattikins-we are trying. There are members who are using various aliases to bring this forum down, for whatever reason. They are slowly being banned but they keep coming back using another alias and so it goes on..

We are 'short staffed' at this present time however when we are back to full strength the multiple posters will be dealt with.

What a pity that people cannot express a personal opinion on any subject without others popping up with the usual blinkered response. Just because we live in TRNC does that mean we are not allowed to think about or comment on anything else that is not directly connected to Northern Cyprus, if so the this board may as well pack up and go home. Part of the popularity of the board is down to the variety of subjects that are discussed and the general banter among posters, with some exceptions obviously, it would be a very boring world if we all thought the same as each other. Why can we not live and let live, we only have one life, try to enjoy it.
