[NICOSIA] About the State Hospital

Today my wife fell badly and was sent by our Girne doctor to Lefkoşa State Hospital. There she was examined by a brain surgeon and a podiatrist, after a brain scan and X-ray photos were taken. It was all done efficiently and couldn't have been done any better in Holland. My wife is OK and the hospital didn't charge one Lira for the whole service. This is also TRNC, this is also TRNC State Hospital in Nicosia. Thank you very much, doctors, nurses and assistants!

P.S. And a big, big thank you to our great TC neighbour Leyla for all her help and translations - we wouldn't find someone your quality in modern Holland! Thanks again, Leyla (and sorry Bülent and kids that you had to wait for your dinner!).

Best wishes to Trixie. I hope she has a speedy recovery. It is reassuring to hear your favourable comments about the state hospital. We took a friend in October and she was seen speedily, scanned and admitted for four days. There was a small charge, but I think that it was very reasonable for the treatment she received.

Best wishes to you both from Christine (nurseawful) and myself. Hope Trix gets over the shock soon, glad that it wasn't too serious. Christine is unable to post direct as the internet and phone lines at her son's are down due to the horrible weather over in Scotland. I am sure Chris will contact you when she can but I am sure she sends her love to you both.

I hope your wife gets over her fall quickly, it is always the shock after that feels so bad. I'm pleased we aren't the only ones who had a good experience at lefkosa State hospital. I have nothing but praise for the treatment they gave my mum when she was over here earlier this year. Best regards to you both and may next year start better than this one is ending
