its official, as from 18th December............. Me, my drop dead gorgous missus, Garry Monger, Garry Monger's missus - their 6 dogs, 14 cats, 4 chickens and hampster are moving to Karmi........... It has been suggested that the once sleepy village should be re-named to "that noisy bleedin' place up the moutun" The local pub better get extra supplies in - Garry Monger's missus can eat for a whole county.......... Appologies in advance to all the residents currently living there............

Karmi has been renamed by the Turkish Cypriot Government years ago. The official name is Karaman (as seen on the road sign when you enter the village). Greek speaking Cypriots and Greek Cypriot supporters in the North, who want to make a political statement, call the village by its former Greek name: Karmí. P.S. NegNick, when in front of the Karaman Residents Committee: give your posts on C44 as a reference of your love of TRNC.

Then it will be another place for him to slag off. Does he know Karaman has no sun for 3 months a year, being so tucked into the mountain side. His "drop dead tingtang will love that!

I think NN and The Mongers may just be the 'shot in the arm' that Karmi (Karaman) needs. Liven the place up a bit

| I live in KARMI and love it. PS I don't have a Barbour, Hunters or a title and I am not elderly. The village has changed A LOT in recent years, and if you like peace and quiet (ie. no building noise/traffic/loud music in the early hours) I would recommend it. Levant Restaurant is worth a visit, sit in its courtyard and look at the views of Hilarion Castle or try The Crows Nest which now does food, has darts and shows the football/rugby/F1. In the summer evenings, Spot Bar is the place to have a drink and look down over the town of Kyrenia. If you have a cat, it's a 'cats' paradise'. In the summer, it's a couple of degrees cooler than the coast which makes it a lovely place to come home to after suffering the heat. We rarely have a shortage of water, either. As for being in the cloud, etc, for much of the winter, I wouldn't know as I'm out at work every day but if I am off, I go out to meet my friends, go shopping etc and then go home to my wonderful little house and light my fire. | I can't see any reason why you think you wouldn't 'fit in'. As I said before, it's changed A LOT. All your animals will love it and after your move, maybe you'd like to come round to ours for a welcome drink. |

Business opportunity going there for anyone forward thinking. With the Mongster and his delectable missus (how many remember the weebles) the place will be crying out of a 24 hour kebab shop. Wasn't it was the Mong who defined passion as 'flicking open the missus bra strap with one hand without dropping the content of a kebab in the other hand.
