Akinlar Ltd on right on road between Lefkosa round-about and the Belapais lights. Brilliant service and excellent stoves as we can testify the past couple of evenings. Tell them Mr Steve (!!) sent you.

cheapest burner from akinlar is around 250euros and the most expensive ones come out at around 1200euros.

i called in the other week and the lady was quite helpful.

they have a catalogue brochure with all the models they can order in.they also had plenty on display.

if you want a cheap and cheerful burner that does the trick, theres a guy near shackers bar in girne selling them at 130ytl.they are a little old fashioned looking but they certainly kick the heat out.

Pandy, Shakers bar, closed down now is opposite Beytis at the end of "tin pan alley"

If you are coming from Girne centre past the Colony, it's the first street on the right. It's one way though so you'd have to park. Plenty of space off road. The "shop" is on the left at the top of the street.

Bought 1 of the ones made in Turkey.Third winter now, still going strong.Roast dinners and jacket potatoes cooked are simply delicious and the stews cooked on top.The only downside is being a top loader and no glass front which only adds a fiture. The heat is funtastic too.Requires little more work to empty the bucket of ashes but for something that I bought at the time of having some financial crises,I can only say........I'm glad I bought this one.

As for fitting..........2 hour job,start to finnish....myself.

How long does it take Akinlar to fit the fire. I went in last Wednesday. Was told they need to see the site to make sure the burner is suitable. Haven't heard anything since.

Does anyone know where Greenium moved to?

They used to be opposite Karakum Lemarr.

Greenium moved further along on the right going away from town but I believe it is closed now as Ray went back to Uk and his son did a bit for a while. I may be wrong, they may be back again.

Ive got a small brown Turkish wood burner - closed and fed from top - its free standing with a nice long chimney going up and out, which also acts like a radiator - fantastic heat and can keep coffee pot hot on top!! got it from Yapi near Lapta Post office - went in morning, it was in by 3pm - and cleaned up and wall repainted where chimney went through. Great job and cheaper than the ones that fit in a fire place.

I would recommend Akinlar, we had one installed in June 2010, tried out in Oct. fantastc heat cost around 900 Euros, money well spent.
