what are the alternatives of putting the immersion on? Can you get instant hot water through a gas bottle system throughout the house? Any advice appreciated.

In the UK we have electric heater units that sit under the sink/basin due to the distance from the hot water tank. You turn the hot tap on, and almost instant hot water. The units cost about £170 in the UK, but you do need a heavy duty electric feed as the minimum power is 7.2 kw. Same sort of thing as an electric shower realy, but you get to use a standard tap

Hi

We have two models of electric instant water heaters and they use around 2.2 KW per hour. So no need for some crazy rewiring. Also cost less to use this system than it does to use imersion. Much more practical too, as it is instant. Also works with low pressure systems. The shower system costs 299 TL fitted and the price also includes vat , 1 year warranty. Please feel free to ask if you need any questions answered. This is the most practical and cost effective way of having a warm shower this winter.

We are located accross the Lemar in Karakum , Girne. Open from 10 - 6 Mon to Fri. 10 - 2 Sat.

Thanks

Yen

The hard water is a problem with this type of heating here unless you do something about it as it was where I lived in the UK.

Hi Pugwash

The water in Girne area is OK! Lefkosa area you would need a softner.

Thanks

I already have an electric water heater installed but of course its expensive running from electric. In the future I am thinking to change to a gas system now that I know there are instant gas boilers.

Tonly "instant hot water boilers" powered by what?

My only concern with gas units (in a bathroom particularly) would be possible carbon monoxide leaks - would need to be regularly checked and a detector installed IMO

The 2.2kw units will have a small storage tank - good if the tap is frequently used, but less efficient as the tank of water is kept hot 24x7, which is why we went for the instant hot water units

Hi Babrew

In my calculations, its alot more expensive to run on gas than it is to run an instant hot water system!

Are you talking of the imersion heater or instant water heater?

Hey Pugwash

Sorry to hear that, maybe its the east side of Kyrenia!! Our water is excellent. touch wood!!

I am talking about running my instant hot water via an electric heater (fitted on the wall in the shower) but of course thats the only place I get hot water when no sunshine so it seems the gas system may be better. Now I assume we are talking about those gas bottles that one uses for the hob? I assume they are fitted outside and a long pipe runs..........to where exactly?
