Sounds a bit like sour grapes to me - asking people to hit Cowell in his pocket. It's not Cowells fault the guy don't sell records. You can't force people to buy.

Blackbird. I agree some of it is talentless rubbish - but Matt and Rebecca could hold their own against most.

I have to disagree with mess 8. Apart from Wagner most of the final 12 acts did have talent. I didn't mind who won out of the last 2 acts. Both have brillant voices - Rebecca reminding me of Sade and Matt, Mick Hucknall.

well I tried to vote for Rebecca on my vodafone mobile dialing every few seconds but could not get through until the voting was closed so if all Vodafonies had this problem the result may not be accurate or was it fixed???

Not sour grapes cardman...just a reflection on an earlier posting... The first ever X Factor winner Steve Brookstein sent out a warning to whoever won the X Factor tonight after it emerged he played a gig in a coffee shop last week and no-one turned up. How many previous winners do you know without looking up past results?

I thought Rebecca deserved to win. Her voice reminded me of Aretha Franklin's in some of the songs she sang. If the future of this programme is in doubt, James Corden as Dermot O'Leary's replacement should be the final nail in the coffin. God help us (and I don't even watch it).

`Matt against all the odds won tonight, he was excellent....he lives in the same village as my son so I was routing for him...Rebecca has an amazing voice too, would love to hear her sing some of Elkie Brookes numbers, similar voice.....Lilac wine would be incredible.......As a previous posting said the final two were both incredible, and both deserve to do really well.....

I wanted Rebecca - Paige was also a good talent - I don't believe for one nano-second it isn't manipulated - fixed if you will - call me cynical - which is why I would never waste a penny ringing in to vote............

X FACTOR winner Matt Cardle has begged people not to hate his single just because it's affiliated to the show. The 27-year-old, whose winner's single is a cover of Biffy Clyro's Many Of Horror (When We Collide), admitted he didn't think there was much he could do if opponents of the show launched a campaign to keep him from reaching the Christmas number one.
