I would love to be able to wish my Scottish friends a happy Hogmanay with as is tradition carrying a lump of coal but cannot find out where to buy it. The remainder of the one cwt i am seeking i would use on my multifuel boiler.

Paint a rock black and cover it with soot.

Just an idea.

If you are that desperate for a piece we still have 4 bags left from the last import, we live in Ozankoy, never seen any on the island since.

The filling station almost opposite Astro in Girne used to import/sell it many years ago. When they first started it was a reasonable price - can't remember quite how much - but the price just went up and up year after year in leaps and bounds. It certainly became very expensive and people naturally stopped buying it so I assume that they stopped importing it.

Thankyou for the offers but i think i will drink the whisky and take around a glass and help them drink theirs instead. Off to wintery climes early tomorrow so cannot even take up Hawkeyes and Swanys generous offer. Your not Scots are you ?
