The Cyprus Turkish Restaurant Owners’ Association paid a visit to Bayrak Radio and Television Corporation yesterday in seek of support for their latest campaign. Representatives from the Association who were received by the BRT Director Özer Kanlı asked for the Corporation’s support in realizing their latest campaign aimed at encouraging TRNC citizens to consume locally produced goods, to eat at local restaurants and to spend their holiday’s at local hotels and resorts.

The President of the Restaurant Owners’ Association Ercan Küçük asked for a program to be prepared and broadcast on BRT aimed at promoting local restaurants and the hotel sector and to increase demand in that direction.



He said that money spent by TRNC citizens within the country would contribute to strengthening the economy which would then naturally have long term benefits for the public.

For his part, the Director of Bayrak Radio and Television Özer Kanlı said that the Corporation was ready to do all it can to show the public that Cyprus Turkish restaurants and hotels were much better than their competitors in the South and to encourage them in that direction.

Surely most citizens can't afford to spend their holidays anywhere else - can they?
