I know what you mean! i'm 31 and its always hard to meet people of similar ages. A lot of expats in this age range are part of the rugby team (my self included) so if you come and watch one of our matches then join us afterwards for post match drinks (Mostly in the Old Mill, Ozankoy , our local hangout) you are sure to meet some new friends. Thanks for your replies. Graycoul, I'm in central Girne and do have a couple of friends in Alsancak and Lapta. I wanted to stay central though, cos I moved here from Brighton so I'm more comfortable with busier parts of town. Plus, I don't drive and needed to be close to the Lefkosa buses. Luckily, I am starting to get out and about a bit more in Alsancak and Lapta though.



Aslan, much appreciated. I've been to the Windows bar on one occassion. When are you and your friends likely to be there next? And where are Bandabulya and the Horseshoe bars? I'll Google them and see what comes up.



Manta, I was at the Warriors/Ottomans/Pumas matches a couple of weeks ago in Esentepe! Then my friend and I came along to The Old Mill afterwards. Do you remember a couple of English girls looking like spare parts? I was the one with the shorter hair. Isn't the next Pumas game in Guzelyurt on Sat? It's a bit far away but I'll see what I can do!

I'm under 30, but I live like 40 minutes from Girne :( It's as boring as it sounds. Last year there was a young peoples' meet up. Maybe someone should organize one of those again. Anyone up for it?

I thought after the demise of 15's the Pumas would revert to thier proper home of either the Citris Tree or the Corner bar.



I know that Haki welcomes rugby players and would be glad to give a home to the memorabilia.

this friday might be a bit short notice if we want to get a bunch of people together. Should we do something with a little more notice, like after the new year? That way anyone who wanted could schedule it in advance and it might be a little bit better attended.
