Recent Poisoning East of Kyrenia

Sorry to have to report that there have been several reports of poisoning reported to KAR this week.



Essenteppe - Kayim Sitesi 4 (adjoining Lapis Vallage site) - Tues/Weds this week 2 kittens were found dead believed to have been poisoned. Residents are concerned that several cats have totally disappeared recently.

Thursday 16th Catalkoy - on the main road Girne to Catalkoy - just past Starling. A family dog was poisoned whilst in its own garden. The dog died at the vets.

Friday 17th Selin Villas - off the Dogankoy/Bellepais/Ozankoy road. Pet hunting dog was poisoned and died at the vet.



Please be extra vigillent when out and about with your dogs in these areas and warn others in the area who may not see this thread. Also it may be an idea to check your gardens regularly seeing as at least one of these was poisoned in the garden.

You are so right they are pure evil Bstds, i wish i could get my hands on them. Thank you for the warning. Im scared to let my lot out anywhere.

Recently there have been postings on the forum complaining about many different posts that folk consider to be irrelavent.

I can't immagine why.If the subject heading doesn't interest you.Don't open the post,it's that simple.

The poisons generally used come in powder or granule form. It is usually used to coat meat or put inside other types of food (to entice the cat or dog to eat it). It comes in various colours but is generally grey or white or blue.

I hope this helps but i hope even more that none of you or your pets find it !.

one of the favourite methods is to put it on cheap tinned luncheon meat, so if you see a can of this anywhere - even if its empty please put in a bin or something!! My dog was poisoned in his own garden, but thanks to Sybil he survived, but I had to move away.
