Due to their owners returning to UK and leaving them in boarding for many months with the promise (broken!) of arranging for the 2 dogs to travel to UK soon after sadly now Biscuit and Merlin are looking for a new owner here in TRNC.

Merlin is a gorgeous purebred Husky male. He is white with pale blue eyes.

Biscuit is a Rhodesian Ridgeback cross and she loves Merlin ! They ned to be re homed together.

Both dogs have been neutered and are approx 3 - 4 years old and are in very good condition and health. they are both also micro chipped. They are very obedient, good with children, good with other dogs and have been loving family pets.

If anyone would like to home them then a payment of 1000 TL is asked for to help towards their unpaid boarding costs. Whoever homes them will be well rewarded with 2 wonderful loving companion.

For further info or for photos please email margdaveray@yahoo.com

These sound like fantastic dogs. If I wasn't considering abandoning this Cess Pit of a place I might have been tempted.

For those who know no better and are happy here, you will not find better dogs!

Hye

Thanks for all your comments. i posted this sad request for Merlin and Biscuit on behalf of a friend. I do not think it is my place to name their previous owner nor do i think it will help Merlin and Biscuit find a new owner. From what i have heard of him (and saw of him on a recent BBC programme) i doubt he even reads this BB or would be at all concerned with any members opinions of him. He certainly doesn't seem too concerned with the opinions of the many Brits he is alleged to have ripped off for thousands of £s in S. Cyprus in a building scam ! Obviously it is not ripped off money he wants to use to take his lovely dogs back to UK.

I just hope that someone somewhere will want Merlin and Biscuit - and that someone somewhere in UK will get their come uppance !!

Well at least if he was named others who Google his ID might avoid trusting him... if he's like this with dogs he deserves to be treated like an animal...

this is a BBC quote about a programme ..................

Alastair McKee tracks down a Gloucestershire man who has left nothing but disappointment for people dreaming of a retirement in Cyprus. Adrian Mills promised luxurious homes in the sunshine but left his clients hundreds of thousands of pounds out of pocket..

this may be off topic for all I know ......

can anyone tell me what has happened to these dogs? This morning, very early, there were two answering their description at the top of Lapta where the flags are. Would it be them?

Merlin and Biscuit are still in boarding kennels waiting for someone to take them home. Their previous owner has been contacted in UK many times over the last few months - all he ever does is make useless promises to take them to UK and pathetic excuses as to why they are still languishing in kennels here . Such a shame as they are beautiful family dogs.

thank you for the response, at least I now now that the two dogs I saw were not these two. I hope someone will take them. It is just so hard here to find homes, there are so many and there is a limit as to how many anyone can cope with. Goood luck, they dont deserve this and their owner wants shooting.

Topics and stories like this are far too familiar! Not just over there in TRNC, but here in the UK too.

The dog, or pet that is quite often treated as a fashion accessory gets abandoned when the current trend ends, or easily dis-guarded when circumstances change -usually without a second thought for the animal!

It annoys me..and upsets me when I read posts like this...

My personal opinion, is that punishment for cruelty to animals is far too lenient...

I really do hope that Merlin and Biscuit find a loving home soon!
