"Previously the island had been home to two major ethnic groups with the Turks predominating the Northern part of the island and the Greeks predominating in the Southern part."

Utter rubbish. I didn't even finish the first paragraph to spot the first huge blunder. Who in their right mind would take the article seriously?

If you take the article overall, at least he points out both the danger and possible opportunity re property purchase.

Oh and they want people 'to tell us what is happening in your area and what advice you can give to potential buyers.' Methinks we should.

PtePike

seems like a well balanced article. Not really bothered that he said the North was populated mainly by Turks, probably confused then with now. is that really all you look for in these articles ,little diversionary points , I am more interested in what he thinks might happen in the future.

To be fair the rest of it was OK. But what he said about the population distribution was pants - and distorted the fact that many of the dwindling number of Turkish Cypriots who still remain in the north are in fact refugees from the south.
