For many one of our big bug bears, all the litter strewn.

And that which is disposed of correctly, often with assistance; where is it's final destination ?

Is it a pure black hole with no consideration for health, segregation, profit or the environment; or indeed tourismn.

a new Dikmen replacement is currently being planned! There will be EU recycling grants available in the future, according to Master Plan which is the size of a small novel and so I've only scanned it. If the grants are high enough the theory is that those receiving the grants would be desperate for our rubbish.

When we were last in Istanbul, we noticed that there were men that went out in the evening with handcarts with several bins on them. They collected plastic bottles, cans, tins, glass, paper & cardboard. We couuldn't make out if they were employed by the local beledeyia or whether they were working for themselves. Whichever, they did a very good of keeping the city clear of rubbish, maybe if grants were available in the TRNC to set up recycling plants, some enterprising individuals would do this there.

For Famagusta it all goes to a dump on the border, incl cessit suckings, where it all leeches over into the GC side. Nice one.

That's far too sensible an idea for the useless, incompetent nonentities that run this place!

I had not heard of Dikmen or indeed efforts being made with potential grants also and basic effort shows interest in this area.

Only a few years ago concerns were paramount for sustained power generation. Although not perfect the upgrades and EGT Lincoln, Alsthom installation and maintenance, management ability is noted.

Waste disposal not perhaps such a bug bear but a potential.
