Everyone on Pirated TV systems lost their Orbit Showtime channels at 2am this morning. The Pirates cannot card share Orbit Showtime any longer. We have been inundated with calls from people looking for information. Please visit http://www.ticproblemsolver.com and scroll to the bottom of the page to get further information. Washerman

>>We have been inundated with calls from people looking for information. << hmmm.. I feel very sorry for folks who have DOPI or some other system that have lost their channels and hope they won't fall for another system that promises 'legitimacy' and relies on third parties who they can't possibly guarantee. Surely, this board is just fine for folk who want to post questions when they need answers ? Now a few posts ago you told the members that I was out to destroy legit businesses in TRNC and you 'attempted' to pillory me for ( possibly) being responsible for causing pirates to go under.. Now we see you say, "The writing is on the wall for the TV Pirates and anyone who is thinking of joining a scheme or, renewing a service and paying an annual fee in advance, should think very carefully before they part with their hard-earned cash. " Funny, that .. the warning is a little late.. and there's an ad for your 'grey market pirate' provision of AD Media's package !!

Indeed, folk DO need to be careful to whom they part with their cash.. ONLY DigiTurk and NOVA Cyprus have agents in Cyprus - and you can use your REAL address and pay direct.. Look at Coldsat... and their clients. how will "satellitecyprus" ( for this 'helpful' site is really just a front ) be any different?. You are relying on agents in Arabs nations.. you have no REAL direct control over subs .. IF AD Media Co decided to reissue new receivers / cards - HOW will you ensure that folk will be allocated the replacement kit? Folks.. if you really want such 'grey market kit' there are FAR cheaper places to buy it and it only costs 170 GBP in Arab nations. 'Excuses' re taxes' etc., are a joke as the kit is not licensed by the issuer to be used in Cyprus.. any more than SKY licence the use of their cards outside UK / Ireland Let's have some honestly for punters who don't want to get burnt twice..

Hang on, I've found one of yours thats has got a bit of text on it, but I'm not sure if it's a legit business or just another pie in the sky idea - http://www.uktvabroad.com/ - still partnering your slingbox setup with Dutch?

Washerman, as ever you are very quick to respond, but don't address the points.. Let me address yours.. 1/ You raised both skycards and 4bigtv.com before ( only two weeks ago) and I told you they weren't being used.. 'confused' or forgetful ? !! 2/ You've also raised 4bigtv.co.uk, before and I TOLD then you it was being used by my step-son as a test for an IT project .. ? .. ringing any bells ? 3/ uktvabroad.com is offering for FREE ( UK VPN) what you charge 5GBP monthly for ... ;) I hope this thread isn't closed as Washerman hasn't answered the Q's ..

(cont) 4/ Yes. the slingbox project is still going and quite nicely thanks.. You won't see me placing 'foxy' links.. Word of mouth is a wonderful thing. You correctly attribute some of this down to DC.. if it wasn't for him.. I'd have still said slingbox doesn't work.. but HE showed me it could...

Questions that mmmmmm needs to answer? Regarding this £170 receiver that you say people can buy in the Arab Nations - the Middle East somewhere.... Do I have to get on a plane and go and get one and if so, how much will that cost? Do I have to register the receiver on an address in the Arab Nation that I buy it in? Do I have to do that before I leave the Arab Nation because if I wait til I get back to the TRNC, they will know that I am telephoning from there, not the Arab Nation? How can I register it online when I can't even access the web site because they record my IP address and say that it is not allowed from my area? £170 is over the limit that I am allowed to bring into the TRNC, will I have to declare that I am over the customs allowance and pay the taxes, duties, KDV and pay for an electrical certificate or, do you recommend that I just hide it in my luggage and smuggle it in cont/...

Is that all that I need to receive the available channels or, do I have to install a satellite dish, lnb, cable etc. If something goes wrong, who do I telephone to put things right? When my next year's subscription is due, how do I sort that out? Wouldn't it be just a lot less hassle to deal with a local company that sorts all this out for me, guarantees everything, has lots of stock, a good reputation, is available 7 days a week and already has hundreds of satisfied customers?

Dear Washerman, re 18 Syria and Lebanon aren't SO far away... lots of people on the net and Lebanese in Limas(s)ol supply for less than half the price you do ( including your '20% discount') - and they've been supplying Showtime stuff and THEIR clients got sorted with the kit to carry on watching it.. You know VERY well that the sub is turned on by supplying a contact address / tel no / email address in a nation that IS authorised to show Abu Dhabi TV. Does that include 'TRNC' ? So you are relying on a third party for address, phone numbers, IP addreses, etc... Should a person returning from a day trip to the 'rump' RoC wish to declare their 170 GBP - I'm VERY sure it won't come to anything like your extortionate mark up.. as to whether they wish to declare it at all... why are you asking me... you aren't declaring to AD media that you were claiming 'officialdom'.. Those that have had Dopi/ showtime already have a dish pointing at Nilesat... right ?

If something goes wrong - like you can't supply the subs: 1/ may be you've been 'rumbled' as a grey market pirate 2/ your contact and you 'fall out' - how will you help clients - will it be like Coldsat or Dopi? If something goes wrong with the lnb / dish - there's plently of folk in 'TRNC' to fix this.. you aren't 'alone' When next year's sub is due.. PRECISELY.. who can you trust ? You cannot guarantee to supply a service that isn't meant for your country - it is a risk for the punter and for you to claim otherwise

My 'problem' with you, Washerman, is that you aren't being honest with the members.... and you are charging FAR too much above the retail price in places where the kit is licensed.. You problem with me is that you can't say I haven't been wrong before.... and I won't be wrong this time, either..

So, this kit is available in Syria and Lebanon for £170 AND on the GREEK side of Cyprus for £170 so, it costs nothing to get it from Syria/Lebanon to the Greek side of Cyprus and whoever does that, does it for no profit -sells it at the same price that they buy it for and all that someone has to do is smuggle it across the border. mmmmmm - you are talking pure nonsense and I think that everyone reading this realises it. As an example, at 18:47 on a Sunday night, we have just upgraded a customer from Movies Plus to Premier Plus - top quality programmes and service from the best suppliers in the TRNC Buy local, buy in the TRNC !

Washerman, do pay attention.. it is available in the 'rump' RoC for CONSIDERABLY less than half the price you charge.. and as to whether it is a 'border' well you know the actual status of the UN cease fire line ... Sadly, some folk might believe you - and pay through the nose for something that is not unique to you. Now, please answer the question: Is Abu Dhabi TV officially supposed to be supplied to Cyprus.. you KNOW the answer is NO, so you can't 'guarantee' anything..... Buy local.. buy the kit where it is 170 GBP.. I've helped folk do it and received nothing other than thanks ..

RE msg 8, Washerman: (...) Actually Dutch, not sad at all today, indeed very happy, but I can understand your feelings, feeling threatened? (...) ▶ "Threatened"? Huh? I watch 60 Dutch channels and at the moment 40 British channels. And all is fine - maybe because you have nothing to do with it?

So, it's now changed from £170 to "considerably less" and I bet by the time it is fitted, registered, and up and running, it's the same price or, more. Not forgetting you have to break the law of the TRNC to get it AND it seems from your admission, that you have aided and abetted someone to do this - if we are to believe you, but personally, I'd advise everyone to take everything that you say with a pinch of salt. Dutch - you'll have to give me more to go on. How much does this system that you have cost? Does it need the internet to work? Are you on a kick back? etc. etc.

Washerman, re 27 I can and HAVE help members get it for 170 GBP LOCALLY - that's cost price..I'm illustrating how much of a rip off merchant you are.. kindly don't deflect by making out that members are committing some sort of criminal act.. You claimed 'official status' for something you aren't licensed to supply ;) How can something 'legally invalid' be 'legal' and something unlicensed for use of side of Arab nations be 'legal' ?! ;) Allow me to answer for Hans... 1/ you KNOW it needs the internet.. 2/ Of COURSE Hans get's a 'kick back' - he's getting BBC / ITV/ C4/ Five, etc for NOTHING.. 3/ How much does it cost...? the price of a slingbox/ receiver - and the client can supply both .. I'm assuming they have the internet... 4/ I've already told you the planned hosting fee.

mmmmmm - How can trading legally, importing goods and paying all duties and taxes AND for electrical certificates (which ALL imported electrical goods into the TRNC must have), supplying an installation service, customer back-up and guarantee be described as being a rip off merchant. Why not just tell people to go and shop lift - that's the cheapest way to get something. Your Slingbox needs the internet to work so, what's the set-up price and monthly fee?

re msg 36 THIS thread is about Orbit / Showtime.. if you wish to 'promote' my slingbox project kindly start a new thread.. I'll respond re the'red herring' one more time on this thread - as you have REALLY made me laugh..! Please tell me what bit of electric kit I need to supply in 'TRNC' for my project to work ? ... *All* the client needs is the INTERNET.. and a computer - they CAN connect it to a TV- if they want .. When someone in 'TRNC' or Timbuktu wants a slingbox solution they aren't buying from a 'TRNC' based company... you don't have the infrastructure to make it work... :D
