In Esentepe they put a note in your PO Box telling you that there is a parcel at the Post Office - in Turkish of course.

You would get a slip in your box which tells you to go upstairs if its just a smalll packet but if it is subject to customs duty then you have to collect it from the office downstairs. I think the opening hours are mon, wed and friday from 09.30 to 11.15. I collected both kinds today so I know definitely Mondays. They will only keep them for a month and then send they send them back.

Note left in box for us even although it was in Turkish we had no problem working out what it meant.

Parcel was left for us at the post office.

It's worth noting that we've had a parcel sent back to the sender after only a week... so don't order anything if you are going away for more than a few days.... doh!

If I am going away and a parcel hasn't arrived, I just go in to Lapta P.O and ask them to hold it for me.
