New harbour Karpaz way is really coming on well. Lots of activity going on around there, driving back we called in the Artemis hotel at Bafra, for lunch, very quiet but chatting to the staff they said the hotel was full New year time. Lovely drive up there lots of new roads, shops petrol stations etc.

Stopped off at Golden beach and all of the school children were having a day out it was lovely to see them playing, enjoying themselves. Lovely day out for us !!

Its concerning to hear that the Karpaz is now being developed (albeit slowly) though I wonder how long it will take before we see the first ads in Cyprus Today for Karpaz luxury villas.

Or has this already happened, and I missed it?

As if they don't have enough half-finished monstrosities and semi-occupied expat "council estates" already. Why not ruin the last areas of beauty?

Yep, another concrete jungle in the offing. Time to sell up and emigrate to Gaza (??)

The new harbour is set to open in May this year ( unless it doesn't - Cyprus time etc)

They have already offered 100 free ( for one year ) boat berths so they must be confident.

Denny and co.

I don't know whether you are expat yourself but - when will people ( usually expats ) stop having a go about expat council estates and more devlopement etc. whether it be in the Karpaz or any other region. No matter where you go developement will happen. There are those that welcome it for more housing, increased business and more JOBS!

As Geoff says - don't like it - leg it.

Sorry, but I get on my soap box when I hear, usually Brits, telling the people of Cyprus what they want.
