Has anyone heard of any instances of cats being poisoned? I know that there are frequent reports of dogs being intentionally poisoned but wondered if this happens to cats as well. I found a neighbours cat dead outside my house a few days ago - it was far from the road and showed no signs of being hit by a car car but it did have a lot of liquid coming from its mouth. The cat had been playing around outside our apartments all day and seemed fine. He was less than a year old.

Yes .... it was probably poisoned. As all poisonings are indiscriminate. It is only a matter of time before it is a child!!!

A Turkish neighbour of ours had both a cat and dog poisoned just lately. He seemed to think they had been near some sort of spray that had been used on land or crops. I don't know the exact nature of the spray as my turkish is not very good and neither is his english but I do know we have been warned before not to walk the dogs in the areas farmers have been spraying.
