So where is everyone going to party and why did you choose that venue?

I have the same question...besides the reason for choosing the venue. Just want to go somewhere with little more than a couple of people.

Our new years eve was always spent at home with all the mums that couldnt get babysitters, hence it was a 'waifs and strays 'party that carried on for thirty years. After never spending new years eve in Trafalgar square, I fancy spending it in Girne harbour and by the screen,

I just fancy a bit of fun before we get too old to enjoy all the frivolity.

Its not much fun being in a party mood when you are alone. Thats why i tend to stay at home as its a constant reminder that i have lost my loved one when i see couples out together. Christmas and New Year are the worst times for me the rest of the year i am very happy.

Deniz 1.....i know how you feel because i am in the same position as you. That is why i am getting out of here and over to Cyprus for a couple of weeks. It's the worst time for me too. Back onto where everyone will be on New Years eve, can somebody in the east confirm that the Esentepe Villa is closed over New Year .I was told yesterday about it .

Deniz1 and arry

My mum use to say, at Christmas and New Year even though many friends and family invited her out to their's, that after my Dad died she felt alone in crowd, when she saw other couples together it made her think of her loved one and that he was not there any more.

Can I wish you both a Happy New year.

Also to all on 44

Regards James

Last Year we went into the harbour for a drink, and then into Girne town for the live band and fireworks.

It was superb. (and free) cracking atmosphere, and great weather.

But this year we are also working.

100tl for a night out is too much for me, and a lot of others I've spoken to lately. Spending that sort of money is only for those who can afford to waste money!

We're off in to Ozankoy - either the Old Mill or Jam Bar, a damn site cheaper for those who need to watch the pennies!

I'll be happy to watch those acts that are live tomorrow later in the year when they'll be just as good but it won't cost the earth.

Sorry, but the head rules!
