hi . is it the place near Taşkent.? if it is . it is an old monastry. there is a nice picnic area just a little bit further up past that building.

looks familiar. I think I stumbled across it last february when I was there. Nice little Church, Agios Christophorus or some such. Many of the frescos have been looted but it didn't stop them charging an entrance fee. Sorry no other info. Not in any guide book I've read.

It's a favorite place for picnics in the area just above it. During the picnic season, the area is packed. Hope you enjoyed the drive on to Buffavento. It's spectacular.
