Hi, just happened to be passing by and thought I would drop in and say hello to a few old friends whom I read on your members list. It’s been a long time. For those who don’t me, I’m Graham, the only guy deported twice from the south. They deported me the second time as I went back to see if they were serious……they were !! Not nice people. I spent a lot of time in the north (which didn’t help my case) and always loved it, especially those long balmy days sat in Kyrenia Harbour. I was there the day the hoards of Cypriot arrived in Kyrenia, beer doubled in price the same day !! Love the place………… Now, tell me something. It looks like the north and south are making up. And one legal aspect pops up. Land ownership. All land may have to be registered in Nicosia as it is now (and as it was). TRNC land is not registered in Nicosia as its not recognised. Has anyone any comments on this as the day is nearing. Good luck to alll, wish I was there.................

Hi Graham, I haven't heard from you since the old King died!! Hows Portugal? Well, my take on the land situation is that since 1974 so much has changed and so much has been done, it will probably take another 34 years to sort out. Should keep the civil servants in work for yonks. There will be much wailing and gnashing of teeth before it's all over, but money is a great soother, and I guess if enough is thrown at the problem it will eventually be resolved. Simple view perhaps, but maybe complicated problems need simple solutions, otherwise the thing could drag on forever. rgds Vaughan

Hi Graham Goodness didn't realise you were still around. Last spoke when you were trying to sell the caravan type things down south somewhere between Paphos and Limassol. Great to hear from you after all of these years, it must be at least 10. Take care, Karen

Pussycatuk From memory I seem to remember something about trying to sell property in the North whilst residing in the South. This was way before the border was open and it was a definite no no to even venture across the line in those days really. Karen
