We have a flat tyre and unable to remove the wheel. Anyone know of a tyre garage open over the weekend who could fix this for us?

If it's an alloy wheel they can get stuck. If you have tried kicking the wheel and no joy, try loosening the wheel nuts and push (or gently drive) the car forwards and backwards a metre. This will help to break the bond. Before replacing try getting hold of some copper grease and coat the contact area.

Greenman is correct, if you can get the nuts off then just hammer the tyre really hard and in several places, you won't damage it.

I had this problem on my car and just watched the garage do just as I have outlinned

Might not help this time but I always carry with the spare wheel a 3 ft plus length of square, hollow, piping, bound at one end with duct tape for grip. This fits over the handle of the spider spanner used to remove the wheel nuts. From an upright position, utilising the increased strength of the piping, the torque you can apply to the nuts is increased many fold and in my experience will undo the over tightened nuts at the first heave. This should be done before jacking up the vehicle as the power generated is astonishing and can pull the vehicle off the jack. This self made implement is also a very good deterrent to back seat drivers !

if its an alloy wheel use a wooden or rubber mallet not a hammer or you can damage the wheel

What you need is a 'spanner-faced' woman - they can generally make your nuts tighten, or untighten!
