Our 4 month old puppy (Candy) came in from the garden this afternoon and within minutes she started rubbing her face on the rug and making rasping noises.

Her face was 3 times its normal size and the outer rims of her eyes were red, causing her eyes to close up.

We rand Garfield's to make sure they were open and raced her down there.

On arriving they were closed.

Made a further phone call and within minutes a vet had arrived and was giving Candy 3 injections.

The vet thinks that she has either been bitten by a snake or a spider.

Although not a vet we usually use, being an emergency it was the closest to us in Karsiyaka.

Although the vet speaks a little English, I would like to thank the person from Freddies Bar who came in to assist us and also to the vet for arriving so quickly.

Thank you for your kind wishes.

Candy is sleeping the drama off. Face is going down but still looks like the honey monster!

Very frightening at the time but the vets were fantastic.

Hi Judy I hope she recovers very soon, what a scare. Well done to Garfield. I have always been wary of going there even though he is so close to me. Not for his ability but lack of englsh and my terrible lack of turkish. Still got the lovely Tess no takers yet xxxx

All 3 of my dog's are under Firdez at Petcross but not knowing what was wrong with Candy I went to the nearest I could get to.

I certainly wouldn't hesitate to use them again if I had to.

I believe that the vet who came out wasn't the owner of the surgery who I know does speak English.

Thank you for kind words.

Pleased to say Candy is making a good recovery after having had a long sleep in front of the fire.

Now wagging her tail and having cuddles.
