There is the English School of Kyrenia, this is the newest school and very good standard, you find them on the web under the school name. Price is around 5.000 Euro/year/child. they give siblings discount as well.

for the payment you can make full payment in one go, 4 installments + registering fees or alternatively monthly payment. the cheapest is payment in full and with increasing installments it gets slightly more expensive.

Hello there. Our 4 year old son goes to the english school of kyrenia which is based in bellapais - we are extremley happy with the school and yes you can pay monthly, quarterly or yearly - you will get a discount if paid quarterly or 1 year in advance. The facilites are excellent - you will not find better than this. There is a high demand for the school - so if you are coming over you will need to contact the school before to pre-enrole your child.

good luck!!

I have never heard any rules like you have to be in Cyprus before you can put your child in school. There is not any rules about you have to have your residence permit. I send you the full name of the school above already and this is the school in Bellapais.

When you come or visit call the school and go and see the school and enroll you child. The only problem you could have is there is not any space in the year of your child, but as its a private school I would not think this could happen.

So I wish you welcome and I hope you will find the school perfect for your child as well.

I would also warn you to take everything people say here for given, you can use it as a hint, but the best is to go and check things out at first hand and you find out how things really are. Its normally not as bad and as complicated as you get the impression here. Just a friendly advise

Take the road to Bellapais and you will see a turning for the school on the right hand side of the road. Follow this road round to the school.

I have 2 children that attend the British Academy in Alsancak and another starting probably in September. They absolutely love it there and are learning a lot more than they did in the UK as the class sizes are a lot smaller.

They are a much smaller school than ESK and their fees are a lot less also. All the information you need including the costs etc can be found on their website http://www.britishacademy-cyprus.com

I am sure that you will get a lot of bad feedback on here about all of the English schools in North Cyprus so all I would say is that you need to have a look round them all yourself and make your own minds up as everyone has their own opinion and not all schools are right for all children. Good luck with the move and choosing a school.

Hi all, just spotted this thread after I loaded one the other day about Eastern Mediterranean Primary School. Nobody has replied. But can anyone tell me if there are any english schools over near Famagusta?

Cheers for any tips.
