Hi there

Due over again later this month and time to invest in broadband and TV services.

I think I know where to go for the ISP, although I'm unsure if you can get the same degree of control as I'm used to in the UK. Is it possible to:

A. Hide the network from view?

B. restrict access by mac address at the router?

I'm leaning towards the TV by broadband as opposed to a dish. At the mo its subscribing to filmon.com or a vpn to source UK TV. I would like to get tvcatchup.com, but not sure if you can access this via a vpn in North Cyprus?

Anybody care to share their opinions relating to my current thinking?

Many Thanks

Nigel

Hi Nigel

TV via satellite is the BEST, most reliable option for this area of CY covered by this board - but to get BBC 1-4 you'll need a 4.2m so better get a well installed 1.8m and watch BBC via a VPN and iplayer

tvcatchup will not work with most VPNs

Then there's a slingbox option - but you needa VERY good uplink connection and a reliable download
