David Haye's signed boxing gloves for Ismail Auction

Dave Zerochlor, via one of his friends in the UK, as managed to obtain a pair of David Haye's gloves.







To be used to auction to raise further funding for Ismail.







One of the gloves is signed to Ismails cause. He is expecting these to arrive in Feb. We will then choose the venue and time that will give us the best possible return.







Who knows may be we could start the summer season off with a function for Ismail, hopefully if things go to plan with his cancer treatment. Then what a great way to start recoupoing funds fo his arm, as originally planned.

We are going on Thursday, (tomorrow) we have been warned very strongly, do not take any valuables, do not go looking like you have money. (that shouldn't be difficult). No Jewellery etc.



Its is rumored to be a very dangerous place, (Sounds Fun).



Ismail is very excited, but he is still being sick and unwell due to injections. We will find out lots of info for you all.



But he is up and about and want's to go out to play, we have a bag of gifts for the kid's. shoould be a wonderful day. Yasin is also so going with us.

Sorry to say our trip at be aborted at the airport. Everything planned, early start, pressies for the kids, and no flight to Hatay, ?????



The travel agent had given us tickets outward for yesterday the 19th, and return for today,



We did not use our normal one (Sun Island Tours), we used Ceremi Travel, it was their mistake, They have issued new tickets for next Wed, so well done to them.



Very inconvenient, but s--t happens, Dissapointed all looking forward to seeing Ismail and his family, but on a positive note, we have still got it to look forward too.



Infact if any one has a few winter clothes for 2 boys, age 6 and 3, and little girl around 2 we could take them with us , Thank you.

The Saints, hope you are well, I received a firm bid last Saturday from Ismails anonymous friend, £1500 and also the offer of the £1,000 pound donation on top of that still stands from the same gentleman.



I do not know him I only get the details via text, and I respect his wishes to stay unknown, this is the gentleman that gave us a grand in Summer,



Zerochlor managed to get this bid posted for me om Prodgers board, It needs adding to the Auction site, I do not know how to do it, It Is a firm bid, and this man is good for it.

As the gloves are now at £1500 they are obviously out of most people's reach. However , it would be wonderful if anyone has anything else to donate to the auction! Could someone please till me if these cloves have been offered for notification of auction within the boxing world magazine and around London, as this may well bring in a lot more bidding for them. I am sure some experts would be able to advise. Just a thought thats all and if it help bring in extra bidding reaching out to the world of boxing Fans and followers all helps.

Sienna. I beleive we will get this amount of money, the gentleman concerned, whom we do not know, as already given a £1,000 for Ismail, last year, he as also bid a £1,000, pound previously, and then offered that for a donation, and then also rebid £1500 on top of that.



Then yesterday, this wonderful person, sent me a text asking me if I would like our expenses to see Ismail covered by him. I said on this occasion we would be OK



This man is doing this to help, (not because he wants value for money) some of us are like this.



We have been helped by so many people , who really do want to help, and dont' expect anything in return.



I also know that this gentlemans word is good.



We are going tomorrow to see Ismail, and rest assured. all those hugs and kisses you have all sent will be passed on,spoke to his dad last night, he says they are all very excited,

Sorry Maggie and Bernie, and everyone else who cares, and I know there are lots of us, yes he was thrilled,and he had learnt to say Hi Lee' I gave a release to Cyprus today, we hadn't had much time to post, and there is so much to tell.



We got some lovely photos, but the newspaper did not use them,



We just hope he can complete his next few injections, all the children all had very bad colds, (think we have got them now) but they need to be very careful with Ismail, at the moment with infections.



But he was happy, the family where happy, so a very worthwhile trip.

Thank You to all our loyal supporters, you know we could not have helped Ismail without you.



Now How about this, Ismails anonymous friend , and benefactor. He has done it again. He has donated the £1000, that he promised, and also given up front the £1500 that he has bid for the gloves, knowing full well that they may fetch more, so like I said its a firm bid. They dont get much firmer than that.



We want to keep the auction open until around Easter,hoping with all our hearts, that we could have a function, and Ismail and his family could attend.



When they came to the Pia Bella fund raiser last may, I think to them it was like going to Wembley to see a big star line up,



They had never seen anything like this before, and Ismail is always talking about it. Thank you to our unkown friend, and thank you all our known friends.

Here is a new thought towards possibly raising some cash for Ismail without feeling you are giving things away for free.

How about selling something you don't need anymore but hate the thought of getting nothing back for it.

I have an old itouch that I will sell but I would also like to consider helping Ismail so I will put the itouch up for sale in the auction with a reserve price that I would be willing to accept for the itouch and anything above that amount that it sells for will go to Ismail. There is no guarantee that it will sell but if it does it will be for at least as much as I want and hopefully even more which will go towards Ismail.

It has cost me nothing but a little effort on the site and will hopefully give pleasure to a new owner and some help to Ismail.

Anyone can do it, if you want to do it yourself just follow the instructions here

You and Ismail and of course his family are very welcome, I would do more if I could and probably will when I have the opportunity.

I just wish it was actually achieving the aim I had hoped for but alas except for the David Haye gloves there has been very little activity in the auction and the donations to Ismail stopped within a few days.



I hope with all my heart that the reason people are not helping is not because of how they might feel about me personally, I can assure you that if you go by how you might think someone is based on how they react on a forum you will be severely mistaken but if that is the case with your thoughts on me then I apologise and hope you can get past that to help this young boy through his troubles



I urge you to at least take a look at the auction and think about anything you might want to sell, it could help you sell your product and it could help Ismail, that is all I am hoping for. You have nothing to lose!

Ismail is resting at home in his home town of hatay. his latest mri scan revealed that the cancer i his arm has grown. he has had 2 lots of laser treatment and is awaiting a 3 week rest period before a new scan. his chemotherapy had been stopped because of his previous brain hemorrhage in recent weeks. he has since made a good recovery from this.

well i know there's been a bid of £1500 on the boxing gloves and the anonymous bidder has also donated a further £1000 (how generous is that!) Ismail's treatment is ongoing with his medical care having to be paid for as he gets it so money needs to keep coming in!



I'm sure Lee or Yunus will give us an update when they've time x

he is back in hospital again in Hatay his home town because of a high temperature. he was meant to be resting for a while before he returns to Istanbul for a new m.r.i scan. tests are on going to find out the cause of his temperature !

N.N.Yes they are in TRNC they , have been in the Paper, Zerochlor organised this (very kindly) and there was a bit of a mix up about when the auction would finish, but if you look at my original post, it did state we would like to hold an event around spring time to auction them and raise some funds.



I have been away and been busy and have not had chance to organize it yet, but we do have a firm bid of £1500 , actually consolidated, and moneys paid,



So if we dont get a higher bid then they they go to our mystery benefactor, thank god for this guy and all of you wonderful people otherwise we would have struggled to fund Ismails treatment.

We've finished in Florida and are off to Portugal to see Uncle Percy and auntie Dorris tomorrow - hopefully will be back in the TRNC early May..........

Yes thanks Dave Zerochlor. On another scope. Why did there have to be an auction? Why couldn't we all arrange for every Cyprus44 reader put in an amount like 20 tl? I am sure it would raise a great deal of money for Ismail and I am sure more than £1500? As with Comic, Relief that was on last Friday, every penny or Kurus counts and there are hundreds of members on this board and alot that don't live here permanently so with everybody contributing we could help Ismail, I am sure!
