Guido,s Avoid it like the Plague

Saint Tropez quite good but locals get more favorable prices and service

Carpenters prices gone up a lot in recent time wine is expensive but the food is excellent.

Efendis would be my recommendation or Eleanor rigbys great service and good food at reasonable prices

Carpenters is having some refurbishment done at the minute, the food is as good as ever but if it's a special occasion you may not want to sit in an unfinished restaurant.

The Green Palace in Karsiyaka is good value and a pleasant place to eat.

Erols for me every time. Been to all the aforementioned places and Erols still comes out on top. This is cooking at its best, all done on charcoal grill. (And this praise coming from a veggie!) The salad is to die for and the chips and hand cut. Beautiful.

Guido's if you want value as well as quality.

Remeber that if you go there you must think Italian food as then you will be fed amongst the best outside Italy or Sicily

Effendis and Guidos are great, my family have used them on a number of occasions and never been disappointed

Msg 5 you are a very sad old man, you must be proud to needlessly and anonymously stab them in the back

There are a number of excellent restaurants available and I'm sure the members will give you their preferences and recommendations

Why would that be? If you are going to criticise then you need to explain. We had an excellent meal there and it has a very good reputation.

Come on, tell us.

Dodgysteve by his own admitance when he had a go last time. has never been there and never met us. We have asked him to come in and address any issues he has with us. He has been off the board for a month but his constant digs go on. Flightholiday thank you for the comments but we are more that just Italian, we also do a full International menu, ie lobster, oyster, lamb, steaks, pork and fish. Or any special requests booked in advance. In addition we cater for a dietary requirements.Earlybird yes we still do the special menus nightly.

Message 22. Yes, it`s the same place. We have supported them since they were in the village at the back of the coffee shop, sometimes 3 times a week. Loved every minute, lovely atmosphere. They have been in the new venue for a couple of years now and it has slowly deteriorated. No welcome, drinks and food hike, food even though ok is not what it used to be. There is not much in the way of heating either and it`s quite a large place. Having said that the venue is superb with beautiful gardens. The owner is a very nice guy but there is no welcome any more. Recently we have been and been the only ones there. It`s not just us, quite a few people are saying the same. Just ours and our friends` opinion - they should have stayed in the village, we miss it.

Hi,

I've never been but yesterday someone told me about a very good restaurant - the Tempo restaurant! I thought she was joking but apparently there's a very good place at the back of the Tempo supermarket in Karaoglanoglu and prices are supposed to be very good too, probably because it belongs to Tempos.

I wonder if anyone else has tried it.

Cannot believe that anyone would rate St Tropez better than Guido's - think people comment just as a wind up?

Steve, you been off the board for a month or so and the first thing you do is?

having a go at Guido's off course.

i am getting sick of your stupidity and trying to damage my reputation as a restaurant. I told you before and i am telling you again, if you have any issue with me (i can't think any because you never been in my place, and i NEVER met you) you can contact me on 0533 8730156 or e-mail guidoandliz@yahoo.co.uk

So we WILL sort your issues out once for all.

I have been in many places in Northern Cyprus where the food was rubbish, the service was terrible ect. ect... do I would ever saying that in a public forum?

no chance.

Why?

Because if I think was rubbish does not mean that somebody else would not love it.

If you see my name mention and you don't like it, read something else, very simple.

Doggiesteve, Guido's is an ITALIAN restaurant, mebbe the best in TRNC. If you don't like Italian food, yeah, avoid it, but don't knock it for doing what it says "on the tin". You wouldn't go into an Indian for egg 'n chips, or mebbe you would.

Just wanted to say that we went to Guido's for Sunday lunch last week and it was superb, couldn't fault it. We have also eaten there during the week and we can highly recommend it.

Just to add, we are not 'one of the gang', just satisfied customers.
