Been reading with interest the various cases been bought againest the Met Police for Race Discrimination.

Why do we have a Nat Black Police Assoc ?

Would we be allowed a White Police Assoc?

In addition to the Black Police Association, there is a Gay and Lesbian Police Association in the Met. Many years ago and on several more recent occasions the Met Police have requested if they can have a "White Police Association" and a "Hetrosexual Police Association." These requests have always been rejected. No reasons for rejection have been given.

PS: There is also an Association for Women in the Met, but (You guessed it) a Male Police Association was rejected.

I suppose at the end of the day they can say minorities need more support than majorities, and that historical imbalances need to be redressed to have a more equal society. Or something.

I think that Messrs Desai & Ghaffur have set back the case for minorities by years. I think they are a disgrace to themselves and the police service that they claim to be a part of.

I worked on the same borough as Ali Dizaei...now a Commander and legal advisor to the NBPA.

In the 12 years I worked for the MET I have never come across such a rude self opinionated officer.



He did not hide the fact that his office door was always open to ethnic officers...only.

By leting him get away with what he did the MET have opened the door to abuse by others like him.....at the tax payers expense.



Sir Ian Blair needs to have the backbone to say "enough is enough" and challenge some of the claims that have landed on his desk instead of being so politically correct.

He does no favours to the majority of hard working dedicated officers who feel demoralised every time the MET are in the headlines due to an ethnic officer making a claim for discrimination.



It really does make me angry that when certain officers play the race card they end up with a payout and a promotion.



It's little wonder that there is resentment and discord among the serving officers.
