Now that we are well into the new year are we all being asked, as last year, to donate to the upkeep and running costs of Cyprus 44?

Would be grateful if Izzet could please advise, and as before give details of how to contribute, incl addres to which postal donations should be posted.

Thanks,

Geoff

I have appreciated using this forum for a good few years now and think that on the whole Izzet does a great job in difficult circumstances.

However I would not be prepared to pay for the privelege of using it and I'm sure many others feel the same.

Izzet's revenue comes from advertisers....Estate Agents, developers, restaurants etc etc and this should be enough to adequately fund it.

It was a one off thing last year to meet the expenses for putting up with Greek Cypriot attacks. Hopefully the revenue is sufficient to keep it afloat.

Is Izzet Zorlu connected with the new electronics shop near the Colony?

If anyone wants to contribute to the £17.50 a year it costs to run North Cyprus Free Press then give the money to your favourite charity.

Thanks for the info, I too hope the advertising revenues will be sufficient to fund the running of Cyprus 44.

However, in regard to msg No. 2 from Cronos, he says he would not be prepared to pay anything if not.

I take it then, that last year when the website was under attack from GCs and most of us contributed when asked, that he did not.

Whether folks contribute, or not, in such situations is up to them. Personally I always pay my way,

Geoff....it seems you want to make this personal.

No, I didn't contribute last year, nor will I any year, for the reasons I've given.

I too always "pay my way".....but on a non-subscription website that is exactly what I paid.

And are you sure that "most of us contributed" ?.....what proprtion of registered members actually did just that?

Relax Geoff, I'm sure Izzet is sending the Brownie points as we speak !

hi All good morning

It is clear that some of you guys need to get out more and stimulate your "grey matter".

Having read item 3, everyone should be pleased and positive, rather than getting involved in a parochial squabble that belongs in the school play ground.

regards

Doug

I said whether folks contribute, or not, is up to them. Can't be any clearer or fairer than that.
