I am interested in finding a top notch shipper that will look after us, door to door, and genuinely insure everything. Any recommendations will be greatly received. Thanks.

Gavin Msg 1 travelling from Gloucetsershire - we come across Jo Valentine frequently (when we help clients to ship their pets to the TRNC) and she seems to put care at the front of her business.

If you are looking to ship you would do well to try her. call her on +44 0 1302 729696

We of course would be glad to supply your flight tickets etc.

If you are coming from the UK to here Brittania Removals are a very professional, reliable company. They have local agents all over the UK. We have used them twice--once from South Africa to UK and from UK to here. Highly reccomended!

Hi, I have done several house moves to TRNC and would be more than happy to put you in touch with customers to verify the service they received. I can send in a container or carry in my own vehicle and drive direct ( I have done it both ways ). Which method you choose depends on how much stuff you have to take. I am fully insured for goods in transit as a formality but never had to claim (10 years plus no claims on vehicle policy as well but I suppose that is ordinary really) In the last year I have been up to the Arctic circle in Norway and down as far as TRNC and take my job seriously. If you treat other People and there precious items how you would like to be treated then you are on the right track.

If you want to email me or ring I would be more than happy to help - even if it it is only a chat to help you find the best way to proceed and put to rest any concerns you may have. I will give you the benefit of my experience with no obligation. Nick Mid Wales Freight UK 07866731400

5 star? if you are coming here to live perhaps the "White Star Line" would be better.

Thanks for all the help. I've made a note of all the contacts and hope to make that booking soon!

The closest thing to the "white Star Line" will be my "Titanic" struggle to get anything in duty free as we've spent too much time on the island already!!

Simple, they lost all my goods.

They had my goods at Famagusta for shipment to Germany, and they disappeared.

They gave me my money back, but that cannot make up for the loss of irreplaceable things from my life.

They thought they had been shipped to the wrong place, but they never turned up anywhere else. My guess is that they were stolen from their premises at Famagusta.

Speaking from experience Fusion Freight got it absolutely right at both ends, price, packing, shipping, clearance at customs and delivery

Don't use Valentines they are rubbish. They don't look after you charge for insurance that's not worth paper its printed on etc etc etc. I know of 3 other people that used them and we all had same problem.

agree totally with redwine dont use Valentines we had a lot that got lost or broken. We paid for Insurance and got an email address to contact which was incorrect and inspite of lots of email communication with Jo Valentine nothing ever heard from them again!!!

Re message 12

Do I understand that you want to move from TRNC to Bulgaria ? That would be one I haven' quoted for before and I would be happy to give it a try. Paperwork could be a bit of a pain but I can have a look at it if you are serious and do it on way back to UK from TRNC.

Regards

Nick.

Well, we used Valentines. They picked up from Wiltshire and delivered to Dipkarpaz the day after customs cleared it. We shared with 2 other customers and we all were so pleased how smoothly the customs business was dealt with by Valentines representative from Famagusta.

Nothing broken or missing!!!!!

We also used Valentines and received excellent service last October, so fairly recent. The information I receieved from Jo was very professional and the pickup from Leicester went without a hitch. This end there were no problems despite our house being very difficult to get to -nothing lost nothing broken and the chaps unloading were excellent.

Speak as you find - we used Olaytrans last July.

OK, we packed our own stuff to save on costs but they were first class, didn't lose anything and we would fully recommend them.

We agree with message 17 & 19 re Valentines.

We have been waiting since June 2010 for their insurance represantative to contact us re our broken and damaged goods that were delivered from Dubai.

Despite several attempts to contact them we've had no response from Jo Valentine in months.

Good luck if you use them and we would recommend you have independant insurance to cover your goods.

Regards

Mess 27, astonhillbilly - i am very pleased for you that everything went well for you.

Nevertheless, the fact remains that Olaytrans lost all my worldly goods. I have spoken as I found!

Strange no response from Joe Valentine usually straight in when this thread comes up.
