Blackpool have been fined £25,000 by the Premier League for fielding an understrength side against Aston Villa last November.

Manager Ian Holloway sparked controversy when he made 10 changes for the Villa Park clash in order to rest players during a busy week.

The club issued a statement on Thursday afternoon to confirm they had been found guilty of breaching Premier League rules B13 and E13 and now have 14 days to appeal.

I agree with McCarthy and Holloway they are paid to manage the team

In wolves case most of the team that faced Man U team that was judged by the league to be understrength were the first choice team by the end of the season

Wanderer he said he would offer to resign

Karl Oyston won't accept his resignation if he does

To be honest we made a mistake not playing our best team at villa - if we had we would have won

How the Prem can fine us for using our 25 man squad is difficult to understand

I suspect Arsenal can expect the same for 8 changes at Wigan

Think we will appeal

Surely this is just the squad rotation system played by the big boys, but with a smaller squad it is more dramatic

Why have a 25 man squad if you cannot rotate. Maybe its because we had more points than the 10 we were supposed to only manage. Olly will not resign the chairman would block it and the fans would block the motorway's.

People say things they don't mean in the heat of the moment and Olly is no different. He is allowed a mistake or to as the man is a legend and the king of Bloomfield road
