I have just made this Indian Dahl Soup, and i have to say, it is sooo incredibly delicious and full of flavour, i really felt the need to share. The only thing i changed, was the cayenne pepper, i used fresh chillies instead.

Please try this and tell me what you also think.

Is there a good source of indian spices here, along the lines of the pakistani corner shops in the UK?

Not talking about ready made pastes-in-a-jar

I used the orange lentils in a packet, they cost 3.10tl. The spices are not always the easiest to find, the one i found the hardest to find was turmeric, and mustard seeds....

Will have to give this a try, sounds delicious. Thank you. Have you tried Ileli? They have a good range of spices etc (at the rear of the shop, left hand side). They will also try and get things for you if they don't have them.
