If he can afford to buy a property and rent a car I would have thought he could afford a decent hotel. There must be great deals to be had at the moment.

Hi,

Try 'The Mountain View Hotel' karaoglanoglu, Kyrenia. Lovely family run hotel also with villa/appartments. Superb restaurant facilities with excellent breakfast and evening meals. Very, Very reasonable. You would not be disappointed.

Can recommend The Fez in Catalkoy.

It's cheap and cheerful - the accommodation is set in a pretty garden with a swimming pool and the owner, Hayal is an excellent hostess and her staff have got it just right. Lorraine the Chef is top class.

We have recently had some excelent flight and hotel packages from one of the tour operators who we work with (2 weeks about £555.00 based on two people) I suspect this would still be available (flight transfers and B&B accomodation)

As it happens Hector FYI the lad is on the sick after having his spine crushed by a 3 ton H girder, they removed two of his ribs to be able to re construct his spine unfortunately for him he is a victim of the ever shrinking NHS predicament, and has trouble even getting sick money as he got a pittance of compensation for his accident, he wants to try and find a studio apartment as cheap as he can within his limited budget so he can escape the humid British weather that gives him so much agony in his spine so please keep your asumptions to yourself.
