Im asking this as since moving to northern cyprus nearly 3 years ago,ive never had a cold/flu,whereas in the uk,i would have had a cold or flu at least twice a year, also i use to suffer with the occasional neck and shoulder pain,i havent had any pain since ive arrived here,is there anyone else here that finds they are more healthy?

I admit I've not suffered from colds/flu like I used to in UK.

Went back at Christmas, within 48hrs was Knocked out with Flu for a week !

Winters in Wales I suffered from November to March with "White fingers"...bad circulation, because of the cold.

Once,2 days ago here !!

I do suffer more from sneezing bouts here, but I put in down to so many trees, shrubs around me,and different pollens.;no,I will put up with the sneezing, and enjoy the beauty of the greenery.

No, not really. Way to much dust in the air to be truly healthy.

Have to agree about the less colds and flu bouts neither of us have had any in the fours years nearly since we have been here. But I suffer with arthritis of the spine and it has been very bad both due to the high summer temps and the cold winter months. Also its not helping with all the extra weight that has been mounting on : (

Hi, yes is the answer, for us. Probably one cold per year, mind you that might be because we live in the middle of nowhere lol

I must say in the heat of summer I do suffer what I'd call to much "sun-n-fun"

I've not had a cold or flu since I arrived over 5 years ago.

More importantly my arthritis gives me almost no pain any more. I developed inflammatory arthritis literally in 24 hours in my early 40s - I felt a pain in my hip one morning and the next day I could not move and had severe pain throughout all over. It took 2 months of tests to diagnose and to find a drug regime to control it, but I still had some more or less constant low level pain and monthly bouts of severe pain. Now I am totally free of the low level pain and the occasional bouts of severe pain are about once per year - and I take a much lower dosage of the drugs.

During our 8 years in the TRNC we have felt much healthier than we did when we lived in the UK. Spending more time outdoors enables us to get more fresh, clean air and we agree with others that colds/flu are a thing of the past. The Mediterranean diet is much healthier and the abundance of Vitamin D from the sun is a real bonus.

I used to suffer from terrible hay fever back in UK, but since being here in Cyprus nearly 5 years, I've not had it at all.
