Im sitting here at my desk in an office in London - bored of estimating and the usual work day routine - and looking at all the conversations and comments that fly back and forward on this forum. (most are amusing)

Are there other people that sit on their PC's all day with nothing to do and dream of the day to move 'north' - or are most of you living in NC and just keeping out of the sun?

im intreagued as to what you all do?

ging

At 'Sibos' in Vienna. It is the annual banking conference hosted by Swift. All the world's leading banks attend (around 4,000 people). Talk about timing !!

Hi Ging

I think I must be a bit psychic cos I had a feeling about that when I asked you. My husband managed a print finishing company before we moved to Cyprus and I worked in the office doing all the boring admin and HR stuff!

Small world.

small world indeed... so you live in NC - my partner and i are contemplating the move - but looking at so many negative views on this forum.....

how long have you been there and do you work now - or joined the 'sit in the sunshine' brigade?

We've been here permanently for 18 months. Been visiting since 1996, bought in 2004, came for 3 months in 2006 and took the plunge in 2007. Very happy to have joined the ranks of the 'sit in the sunshine brigade'. Our company dealt with a lot of financial print and things were bad in 2006 so I hate to think what it will be like now.

Well obviuosly i'm sitting typing at the PC just now but today we've been sweltering in the heat because the humidity is off the scale today...

Went to our Turkish lessons... still enjoying learning.

Went to HBPG to see Marion Stokes and ask about how we progress now that all permissions are through so that we get our deeds.

Cafe De Paris for lunch... good as ever. Very busy today...

Collected children from school and then made Risotto (Rizzi Pizzi) for dinner... washed down with a very expensive bottle of wine... 2.95 YTL Don Simone Tempranillo... OK cheap, but rather good!

Sat at my computer waiting for email about my interview tomorrow. While waiting I am doing Sat Nav/AA/TFL routing. TFL:2hrs by public transport and bus, tube, train, there's five changes/ other two 40 mins off peak avoiding the congestion charge. I dont know what 40 min equates to in rush hour but will know in the morning!

If I was a rich woman I would be elsewhere believe me.

Hi Ginger,

I have something of a part time internet based business.

I sit here watching a screen and hoping for positive input from customers.

In between I file in Cyprus 44 Board. I think it is great. It seems to attract people certain

people of a negative disposition. Most people are of good faith, and wish to learn about life

in the TRNC, share experiences, complain and generally have fun!

The weather here in NE England is horrendous. Rain on a daily basis for three months now.

We are out in the TRNC next week .SUNSHINE GOOD FOOD and the joy of the Turkish

people. Cant wait!

Hi LN

Share some stories with us regards your beautiful family. The 'what does your grandchild call you' thread was great, little people are ace, and their perception of life (innocent) is a breath of fresh. C'mon LN, give us a daily blog of being a Grandpa !
