Anyone know where exactly the crossing point is and if you can purchase insyrance there ?

There is some campaign to get a new crossing point from Lefke towards the Troodos mountains but it is most unlikely that they will ever open it. In the fiftees it was a very busy road at weekends, cars passing through almost bumper to bumper, mostly towards the mountains on Friday afternoons and all day Saturdays. Then on Sunday afternoons it was the other way round.
