Just a word of warnng to anyone who goes to the Sempati hotel.

Cemal who own the Aphrodite restaurant near the hotel has a couple of young foals that are kept on the opposite side of the entrance to the Sempati hotel.

Neither of them are tethered and are free to roam.

sorry....finger slipped!

Last night I went to collect my husband from the hotel and just as I approached the entrance these two young foals came out of the darkness of the trees and galloped from one side of the road to the other in front of my car.

I am so glad I was driving very slowly and my daughter spotted them before I did...I'm still having images of one of them landing on my bonnet...doesn't bear thinking about.

Having owned a horse I would have been mortified if I had injured/killed one of them.

I will be ringing Cemal today to ask/plead with him to secure these two little foals but in the meantime please be careful when driving to/near Sempati.

I have bought this posting back to make members aware of this problem.

I ran Cemal on Wednesday and he promised that he would put the foals in the pen he has with the mares but has he......NO.

We have friends staying at Sempati at the moment so are popping down to the Sempati most days to see them.

And every day since my phone call to Cemal these two foals have been either wandering loose or galloping across the road.

Only a matter of time before one of them is hit by a car.
