Yes, they draw much more energy than LCDs or LED types. I always recommend 1 KVA regulator for Plasma TVs and only 0.5 KVA regulator for other types.

I've always found them much harder on the wallet than electric.

Here we go again!!!

You can obtain Elko regulators from Tektan in Girne.

The best way for repairs from Girne is to send them to me directly by Virgo Trans Dolmus from Girne to Famagusta. Simply write my name (Ismet Ustuner) plus the sender's name and telephone number and then call me on 0533 862 9150 to let me know. I will repair it, send it back and inform you all free of charge within a couple of days.

However it is important that you let me know after you send it, not before. It is also very important that you put your telephone number on it. Otherwise you do not get it back :(

Hey don't rush buying Elko regulators yet, I am a little short on 0.5 and 1.0 KVA, only a few left but the new consignement is expected to be in port towards the end of this month. So take it easy please

msg. 3, Cyprusjoker, what do you have connected on the 0.5 KVA regulator? Anyway, if it has been working for some time, it means that its ok.

Just a reminder that if it is not convenient for anybody to send their Elko regulators for repair to me by Dolmus, they can leave it at my daughter's place Smart + furniture shop but that will take much longer to get to me

Its all free either way.
