Hi,

At the risk of upsetting SOMEONE ......I did not realise that the TRNC was more politically correct than the UK could ever be.......so this post is from me.Malcolm Barber from Catalkoy near China Garden and Patina restaurant and I am just enquiring if there are any runners out there in the Catalkoy / Ozankoy areas that would be interested in a regular run , say once a week to start , no fees , no pressure, no worries..........just turn up if you fancy it. I have set up a Facebook page entitled Looseboots Runners...............If you have an interest in joining sign up and we will see if we can set up a get together /first run in the not too distant future. And if there is already a club in existence I apologize in advance ......I am not trying to poach your members ...simply trying to get a group of like minded people together ......SIMPLE.

Good Luck Loose Boot's Count me out, did enough running around Girne chasing that big orange ball. Just thinking , sludge lives in Karsiyaka and your in Catalkoy, I reckon if you both headed for Girne you could meet up for a Pint and Oxygen tank, and then head back home.

Any one near Lapta, such Sludge, over in March for ten days, but two months in June/ July, I am up for a run. We have a five mile circuit we do, which includes the hill up to Kariyaka. Also if you drive up to the Tank great running on that road, also cooler in summer.

Will be starting training for Istanbul Marathon in Oct.

Regards

Terry

Yes I agree,

I had retired from marathon running for about 11 years and was persuaded to run in the Hastings marathon and The London marathon in the same year.

Both done in 4 1/2 hours.

The Hastings was very cold as you know but such a fantastic course and wonderful atmosphere.

In fact did the 25th Hastings half marathon the same year.

Most impressed with your times for the Hastings Marathon, the beach section did it for me, my knees blew up with fluid, took about 3 weeks to recover.

We come out the day after this years Hastings Half, for 9 days .

We have only just started so at the moment only have the one route and starting point. But sure as we progress there will be more.

The present route is from Catalkoy Lemar and follow a circular route via Catalkoy Village.

If you have any shortish routes from Kyrenia maybe we cld do one in the week....

We have only had one run last week. This Sunday , again we will meet at Lemar Catalkoy and run for 45 mins to 1 hour.

But I am sure we would be open to suggestions for other routes, so Jean if we start at Tatlisu way , may need a lift......

At moment we are training for the 10k fun run on 21st April......

All suggestions for routes considered as we don`t want to get bored.....and it is supposed to BE FUN after all....
