Hi all,



this is my first post and i wonder if anyone can help? i am trying to find out the name of a tree in Kyrenia town centre it is planted on the pavements as "decoration" it has fruit that is greeny brown around september and the flowers are a yellow/orange couler almost like stretched roses very beautifal trees and am desperate to find out the name of it as nowhere seems to have it? thanks so much

Don,t know what tree is called but planted some of the fruit now have some small plants you can have

this is very vague but if you could google kyrenia tavern and click images there are 2 photos of the plant and flower about halfway down the second page? beleive it or not these are the only 2 photos i have found on the internet all your help is much appreciated x

Could you say which search for Kyrenia Tavern you use as an example for the plants as I have done a quick search for you but couldn't find a picture, sorry.

Was it the Tripadvisor site you looked at? The only flowers I can see on the Kyrenia Tavern posts there are Frangipane. White with a yellow centre.

Just looked at the picture, do not know name but have 2 of these in my garden, next time you are over you can call and takesome seed pods the tree constantly grows seed pods that look like very small green tomatoes, they go dark brown then drop off and can be planted. The trees grow plenty of pods all year round.

I believe it is called a Candle Tree. I have one and that is what the lable on the pot said. I think they are quite widely available but I brought mine from Mediterainean Garden in Alsancak.

Well done Judyr I would say this is the same plant.

One site describes the plant as being poisonous if ingested, also sheds leaves / flowers going into your pool?

It is a nice plant tho sdesouza, some examples have grown really big.
