I am having problems. I haven't been online for a couple of days and have just tried to use it. I was able to open Gmail but it would not delete any messages. I have just gone back in and it has now deleted the messages but is taking ages to do anything.

No problem at all (@gmail on Macintosh - browsers: Camino, Safari and Cruz). Reliable and fast as almost always. Imo: by far the best provider of free email.

Had a problem last year, can't remember how to do it but if you delete cookies then you will have no problem with gmail.

Tried all the usual remedies, including deleting cookies, but still no better. Thanks for all your answers.

RE msg 7, Oilman: Have you tried this: 1 : Log out of @gmail.com 2 : empty the cache of your browser 3 : delete the history (saved by your browser) 4 : restart your computer 5 : log on to @gmail.com.

P.S. Have you tried another web browser?

Can't even get to log out even Dutch. Must be the Karsiyaka Triangle at play.

RE msg 9, Oilman: (...) Can't even get to log out even Dutch. (...)

▶ Can you access the Google Help Centre? If so: type " can't sign out " in the little window. You'll find instructions there.

▶ Try to locate where the problem exists: have you access to a second computer in your house? Or at your neighbours?

Webmail was also down yesterday and this morning, but they put a message on their phone saying it was a technical problem.
