I found their attitude terrible, I went there with my wife and two young sons, he was more interested in his mates at the bar than in giving us a menu, which we eventually had to ask for, he didn't seem to like the idea of us having children in there, even though they were very well behaved, and finally, I've been to may Thai restaurants including the Blue Elephant ones, and if that's Thai food that they serve in the Bo Thai then I'm brain surgeon, my wife does better, never been since.

Lovely interior but hubby dislikes Thai food so haven't been for a while.

When the owners ran Both Worlds in the village they did have a European menu as well, we miss that at Bo Thai.

I did notice that they are now offering an Irish menu so will have to see what that consists of and if hubby would eat it so that I could have my Thai fix.

Not been for a while.

Cannot fault the restaurant for effort or ambience. The food suffered from lack of fresh authentic ingredients and therefore in our mind did not bear any resemblance to food we have experienced in Thai restaurants.

It may have changed now but that was our experience.

been twice it was rubbish both times. they are tryin to make a quid on something different. a thai or even philipino chef would help. as it happens the chef is his wife whos english. it reminded me of the stuff found on the shelf in supreme. not even close to thai food..

We have visited a couple of times but not in a rush to return, lovely decor and surroundings but in all honesty family members remarked that it was expensive and we also felt the portions were far to small. However if we heard that it had improved we would try a third time !!

I saw they are doing Irish food and I am interested to try. As I do miss colcaanoon, bacon and cabbage, yes it may sound strange but I love it. I do not know if they have an Irish cook/chef but if anyone can tell me so I can go on my precious day off. Michelle I am so sorry but look at the indian restaurants full every sunday for lunch here, we are italian but sunday lunch is always full. I think nowadays chefs have so many skills x

My wife liked it, I wasn't so sure, high on chile low on content. Nice place though. Every time we have gone by rarely many people in so perhaps that tells you something.

Other peoples likes are never your own so give it a try, it's only one meal if you don't like it.

I understand that the owner is Irish though the accent has gone over the years, so you might get your favourite dish.

Thank you all for the comments. Don't think I'll go there. Do you know any good place that serves Thai food?
