Cakes? Just abpouit everywhere. Akpinar Bakers, Dano Pastry, Lemar Supermarket and lots of little places in between. Take a look around. They make to order. And there is a fab place in Nicosia, whose name I can't remember - will leave that to someone else. They will make what you want, buyt cheap they ain't.

As to music, there are discos galore and several singers etc. People like Mike Plant of '112' knows all of them. If you don't know who he is, further details can be given.

Mike Plant can be reached through Brenda, both of whom are great fund raisers for 112, and have all the contactsyhou want, including some who have already posted above.

As to music, you donot specify what you really want. But again, Mike knows them all, so ask him.

Maybe you want Turkish and young as opposed to ex pat and more mature. But again, talk to some experts.

Mike/Brenda's number (which I am happy to give out because it appears in newspapers all over the place) is 0533 840 7834'

There are also more classic musicians many of whom play for the Lefkosia Symphony Orchestra, and I could findout about them if you wanted. Some people prefer to have these play at weddings.

Cakes: Try Akpinar bakery. Wish I could remember the one in Lefkosia , but I see in Zoom In magazine there is an article about a new shop entitled Cake Stgory. Not sure where it is, but I have made enquiries to see if I can get a [phone number, or at least the geography. These people reckon they mak

Why not go to the Ozankoy Bookshop cooks market tomorrow 11am to 2pm. There are cake makers there, one I am sure would make a traditional wedding cake.

The cake shop near passport in Girne is called the Cake Story, their cakes are the best I have seen on the island, they specialise in wedding, cup cakes etc and put fillings in like the UK, well worth going for a look

There was a couple last year who wanted trad. fruit cake and their wedding was at the Korineum who made the cakes for them, but individual and not a big one. But message 19 sounds a good answer, because there are English people here who make the traditional. Costs more because of the incredients and of course it is not a Cypriot recipe. Or you could try some of the people at Lamboussa market who sell cakes - one of them might help. But Black Olve Cafe sounds a good bet.

Do let us know if you find someone and it could be good to share the information in case anyone else wants to have a cake made.
