Anyone teach singing here in TRNC? If so, I would like their contact details.

Cheers.

Where did the 'L' go?

Think I need a 'mod' to correct the subject heading.

I know someone who might help, but the questions are: What age? What style of singing? With what dreams? Also there is a lady called Francine Ashe who was Chorus Lamboussa who might be able to help you.

Any other offers. Or should one say it is an 'L' of an offer?

Hi Maz

I want basic singing lessons for personal achievement, not for any ambitions to star on XFactor.

I want to stop the neighbourhood dogs from howling when I sing in the shower and to stop offending my own ears when screeching along to a track when driving.

I'm into soul music mainly so thats what I generally wail to. I'm male, in my early 40's with a fairly deep voice.

I live just east of Kyrenia but anywhere around Girne district or Famagusta/Bogaz area would be ok for me to get to.

Hi Donty

If you fancy learning to sing in the Barbershop style, then why not join our newly formed chorus. Meets every week on a Tuesday at Chateau Lambousa, Lapta. We already have several previous "non-singers" who are coming on great. Post me your contact details and I can give you more info.

I think the barbershop idea sounds better. Cheaper and more fun. Singing lessons require isolated dedication, so maybe the barbershop will be ideal to enable you to cut out (pardon the pun) the sound of the dogs , make news friends and even invite them round to shout down the dogs. Lots more fun!

What does Svetlana do. Not heard of her, but if she is young and beautiful I am sure that oculd inspire 0- but still think the barber shop is the best option. Can't thinki of anything funny to say about a 'close shave' - there must be something.

Cannot see anything wrong with the thread title. Perhaps you have a bit of keyboard lag on your 'L' button.

Can't you see that the Barbershop is a "cut" above the rest. You can get a "clip" of what it is like at http://www.barbershop.org or come to Lambousa tomorrow night; there's a "chair" ready and waiting and you'll see what our "style" is like but I guess it'll be a "close-shave" between us and Svetlana but I'll bet we win by a short "head"!

I have a CD of vocal exercises. Used to teach, but have given up now......and I used this with all my students.

Let me know if you'd like a copy.

Hi Lilli. I'm ok, busy with work and looking forward to a UK visit in March. How's it going with you? I must venture 'westside' for a natter when I get a chance.

Poodledog: Thanks for the offer but I think I'd rather have one on one teaching until I can at least hold a note without breaking glass after which I may well venture into a slightly more public setting and will get in contact

Metin: Yes please. I'll drop you an email in a day or so.

Well so far I've got Francine and Svetlana to contact. Anyone got contact details for Francine?

And... Many thanks to the missing L fairies

You can hold of Francine on 05338431176 and tell her Peter gave you her number.

Meanwhile, re Barbershop - we are not performing in public yet, only rehearsing and as I said before, several of the guys had not sung at all previously, so you wouldn't stick out like a sore thumb and would be made most welcome.
