I posted a topic last week regarding registered post not being recieved.

Well good news

Londoncypriot answered my topic and also gave me a link to T.R.N.C tracking system.

I opened the link, copied my two tracking numbers and was informed that my packages had been delivered to Girne post office which is my one.

I went to the post office today, gave the man my information and after 20 minutes searching ,

he came up with goods.

Lesson to be learnt, dont assume your mail is lost or stolen just because you have not recieved

a white ticket in your box

Do as i did and after the assumed delivery date has passed, go to the p.o and ask for them to look for it

The link for tracking is http://www.postadairesi.comindex.php?lang=tr

Ron, Thanks for that follow up. You inspired me to go find out about some of my missing mail .... I posted 2 calendars to Australia early January. A week later, I received a notice in my P O box advising of a parcel to be collected! Yes, you guessed it - one of them trying to make its way home to me!

The man at Lapta did look a little ashamed and assured me it would be posted TO Australia. Neither has yet arrived... there or here!

Today my husband went to Lapta to mail a package for me to the U S and asked about the other two. He was told that all the mail goes to Istanbul "and a lot of it goes missing there. I'm sorry there's nothing I can do".

His only response, pay the extra and send everything registered ...... which for 1 tl, we did!

I've taken note of the website to follow up, thank you!
