Fun Run on 23 April to raise funds for "Help Those With Cancer/Tulips"

The start of the 10k/5k Fun Run being held on the 23 April in Essentepe has now been put back to 1 p.m. They are hoping to raise well over 10,000TL for the above Association. Entry/Sponsorship forms will be available from 1 March and I will repost where they are available closer to the time.



We are looking for promises/pledges for the auction they will be holding after the run, or raffle prizes as well. There will also be a buffet after the race to raise hopefully even more money. It should be a great day and we are hoping that the support for this event will be tremendous.



You can email me at tulipscarole@yahoo.com if you need any further information or can help us with pledges/prizes etc. We also need volunteers to help on the day with marshalling etc - anyone out there willing to help?

Sounds like a brilliant day. We at k9 will be offering our self catering cabin for one week here in Kaplica as a prize.

Hi Carole, yes anything we can do to help Tulips we will, everyone is so kind to us. We have just lost our best friend and animal lover, Sally Ann Burrell to cancer Feb 2nd. We will be donating a weeks self catering holiday in our log cabin here at Kaplica including dog kenneling. Also we are offering the same package at our cabin in Dalyan, Turkey, for two people for one week. Both places are in idyllic rural locations.

So sorry to hear about your friend. At the moment 3 people every 2 days are being diagnosed with cancer over here. 7,000 people last year!!!! It is frightening. Your very kind donations are so very much appreciated. I just think that anything we can do to support the Help Those With Cancer Association/Tulips could end up helping one of us, heaven forbid....



This Fun Run Day is going to be fantasic and we really hope that it raises an enormous amount of money. George, Alex, Les and all the other people organising this can only be admired for their hard work and dedication in doing everything they can to raise awareness as well as money.
